These past few weeks I have went hard finding freelancing jobs. At first I was frustrated, pissed off, whatever you want to call mad. But I think I might have got a rhythm going. The 2 most important tips I would tell anyone who is looking to become full or parttime freelance writers are:
1. Look thru the site thoroughly. Have some good idea what you are looking for before you attempt to sign up. This way you can fit your profile to what you’re interested in writing.
2. Only pick a couple at a time. Don’t set up an account with a site unless your positive you will commit to it. 99% of these sites ask for email and you really wouldn’t want to have your account bombarded with freelancing emails and then have to waste time sifting thru them for potentials. Eventually you will stop checking.
Those are my 2 greatest tips. Start with those and your journey will be easier to conquer. Of course there are others like make sure you have a resume and bio. Get a paypal account, don’t take on more than you can handle, and be consistent!
That being said I have a list of sites that I’ve come across. I have not looked thru them all because it’s too much. I will say I do have an account with Constant Content, Helium and will sign on with Yahoo. Also I check http://www.freelancewritinggigs.com for work. Also pay attention to what is required of you while holding account and how you will be paid. Some sites will not pay you much, some allows you to be paid only if someone clicks on their ads, etc. So here you go and good luck!
Peace and luv!
