As a writer, especially new writers, a great way to get your work out is to attend as many writers conferences and workshops as you can. There is nothing like the one on one interaction you can receive during these great opportunities. The social media networks, although their intentions were to make connecting easier as actually made people lazier and not as social as people should. Do not get into that rut, always talk, introduce yourself, toot your own horn a little bit everyday to someone in person. So here are a few more chances for you to hone your craft and be personable.
Scribblers’ Retreat Writers’ Conference (November 10-12th) in Sea Isle, Georgia
Baltimore Writers’ Conference (November 12th) in Baltimore, Maryland
The Writers Institute (November 16-18th) in Miami, Florida
Winter Poetry and Prose Getaway (Jan. 13-16th) in Galloway, New Jersey
Do you know of any conferences or contests going on? Or is there a contest you’re hosting and want me to advertise on my blog? Email me and I will post it. Diamondpublicationz@gmail.com!
Peace and luv!
