Got a blog? Is it about books, writing or publishing? Of course it is. The Association of American Publishers and Goodreads has collaborated to run a book blog competition. You are able to put in your blog to compete now until April 9th at 11:59pm. To qualify at least 75% of your blog must be about books or the business side of books. Entries will be judged on writing, analysis, design/presentation and reader impact.
To enter create a free account with Goodreads at www.goodreads.com. There is an entry form to fill out thru the website. Put in your blog’s address and submit five sample posts (they had to be written and posted between Feb. 1st, 2011 – Feb. 1st 2012). Indicate which category (adult fiction, adult non-fiction, children’s/YA and industry news) you are wanting to compete in. One winner from each category will receive one ticket to this year’s BookExpo of America on June 5th thru the 7th. A 3 night hotel stay and a badge to get into all of the expo’s festivities is included.
Voting for the blogs will open April 10th until the 23rd so tell all of your friends, fans, and family to vote away. Winners will be announced around May 7th. Good luck!
Peace and luv!
