The first black woman to win the Sundance Best Director prize is pretty busy and loving every minute of it. Ava DuVernay did not slow down after winning the award, she still is humbled but on a serious mission. Oprah has approved her recent work Middle of Nowhere already. Her first project got the seal, stamp and thumbs up from Roger Ebert. She blazes a fiery trail introducing audiences to art house fare. Ms Ava wants to make a movie a year on her own. Her film company is called African American Film Festival Releasing Movement (AaFFRM). Do the damn thang girl!
Peace and luv!
