I’ve mentioned this film festival a few times before, the most recent was the announcement of Kevin Hart’s movie Let Me Explain debuting as the closing movie.
Have you purchased your tickets yet, hotel reservation set? It’s all going down in Miami, Florida June 19-23rd. This is a huge event for blacks in film or blacks trying to get into the film industry. Indie films are introduced, aspiring writers and directors get an opportunity to learn, network and become inspired! All of that talent in one spot. How can you not be electrified? In case you are still teetering on whether to go or not let me tell you a few events that will pop off during the five day film festival. You can see the complete schedule at abff.com. You might have missed the early registration but that’s ok.
Wednesday June 19th will have Meet the Filmmakers Panel.
Thursday, Bill Duke’s Actors Bootcamp is just one of the events going on that day along with Financing Your Film with Crowd Fundraising and The Leading Man.
Friday offers Diversity…Just Good Business and The Art of The Pitch.
Saturday there will be a Screenwriting Master Class, Cultural Criticism and the Filmmaker‘s Voice, the Festival Awards Presentation and Kevin Hart’s movie Let Me Explain.
On Sunday the world premiere of Playin for Love.
Peace and luv!
