In case you forgot Camp NaNoWriMo begins tomorrow. This is different from what is done in November where you have to write at least 50,000+ words in a month. You get to decide the word amount! In the Camp Cabin you can have a bunkmate that will help motivate you and you to them all based on similar interests. Take advantage, don’t ever be too proud to think you don’t need some kind of support.
Just a few tips for this event:
1. Remember you do have a life outside of writing. It’s easy to go into our own little heads and become possessed by our manuscript but it’s essential you do others things as well. Who knows you can get some ideas for your next project.
2. Don’t beat yourself up if you don’t complete a daily word goal. Shit happens!
3. Don’t get discouraged if no one else is as excited or supports your writing. Be your own team mascot, it will be hard but it is what it is. Chuck the deuces if they don’t consider this a real job. Stay focused and keep hustlin!
Hope that helps and to all who are doing the camp remember to have fun.
Peace and luv!
