Self publishing in local libraries

Self publishing has opened a lot of doors for writers such as myself. I self published about two years ago and trust me it is not as easy as it seems. Even with all of the blogs dedicated to self publishing and books it’s still a process.

Mark Coker, CEO of Smashwords, along with FastPencil are on a mission to get self publishing into as many libraries as they can. Already they have offered self publishing programs to assist writers who are thinking about or is choosing that route. It would be nice if more could have them. I mean it only makes sense considering you want your books to end up there.

If your local library doesn’t have any programs ask them why and see if they can get something started. Maybe the reason why they don’t have one is no one asked.

Peace and luv!
