I remember hearing about this and shaking my head in disbelief. I cannot imagine me or my teenage daughter going through this but this strong girl pulled through it.
Young Pakistani teen Malala Yousafzai was shot in the face for speaking out against the Taliban. She wanted girls to be able to get a sufficient education in her country, something we take for granted over in the States. She was shot in the head for her protests! Yes, shot in the head!
Since the incident she has not really spoken too much about the violent ordeal until now. Malala has written a book fittingly called I Am Malala. It will be published through Little Brown Publishing and will detail everything about that day. I’m for sure when it comes out this fall it will top the bestseller’s list for awhile. Lets support this young talent!
